Are these people even nouveau riche though?  Not really because even the new rich at least try to be like old money.  True nouveau rich is educated and they make sure their children are also.  Nouveau Riche can apply to anyone who came from humble beginnings over 100 years ago.  They aren't the old dow(ty)ager mentality, those newer money folks but they are worlds away from the ostentatious faux wealth of this New Jersey house frau.  All the money in the world means nothing if you can't speak properly or come from very unfortunate peasant stock, now can it?  Throw in the lack of education and you have this...

I'm not wishing anything bad on these people because I feel they got reamed at birth for trying to be more than they are.  Fine etiquette and a grasp of the English language, you'll always fair better than these folks even if you are struggling financially right now.

The bottom line here is~  saving money is a game.  You'll be sleeping soundly at night and never have to worry if one of your pets gets sick or your car will need major repairs.  Not only is it a game, it's an art form.  When you know you are out of debt and things are going well because of your wiseness in spending then you can go nuts when on vacation.

So close those lights down, look at my TIPS category for saving money.  Become obsessed with getting freebies and entering sweepstakes and other contest to curb your addiction to online shopping.

Get samples of pet food, skincare, shampoo and conditioner packets to take on a weekend get-a-way.  Doesn't matter how much money you have or make.  Get it!  Samples of toothpaste and all other cold formulas are always on hand around here.  Baby shampoo for the foster kittens?  Got it.  Garnier facial mask? Got it.  Cat treats?  Right here. It's all here.  Saved me a trip to the pharmacy so many times.  Free Mr.Clean products, Swiffers and what not.  Since the economy has slowed down, slim pickings but you'll still get stuff and hopefully keep up these habits in better times.  It will curb your online shopping habits and benefit your family.  Again, see my TIPS for saving money on pore strips and saving you thousands of dollar$ if you have a cesspool.  That's one of the main reasons why I am here.  Of course, share your money $aving tips in the comments and I'll showcase it here.
