Well, I live in a town that employs our own private police force (the property taxes are killer!) and I've learned from locals that you can change the lights from red to green in this hamlet if you flash your lights at night at the sensor.  See, this sensor is programmed for emergency vehicles and their flashing lights to give them the go ahead.


Flip That Bitch

Well, in regular old counties and towns, you may want to flip your windshield visor up and down if you are sitting first at the light.  Sometimes the sensor will pick up on this quick play of light.  Only problem is, the other directional traffic doesn't get a long yellow light warning so someone might try to jump it.  I know a light that succumbs to this trickery on a major road.  Always have to look left & right before crossing when employing this trick or I'd be dead a thousand times.
