Blue Roses?

Back to my plant obsession. Spending hours on end looking through all kinds of seed and plant catalogs. I want everything that isn't suitable for my zone, of course.
Seed Company Of Exotic Plants
In my search, I came across blue roses. Some scientists in Japan came out with them in 2009 but they aren't commercially available. I did find a way to make white roses blue.
Here is a quick how to about changing the color of roses.

I don't have roses but I do have a multiflora rose bush draping over my fence. They're a pain in the neck to get rid of. If you don't have one, you can just find them in bloom right now almost anywhere. Watch it, the thorns are killer.

On the road side
It was introduced to the east coast of the U.S. in the mid 1800's.
It hails from Japan, like most delicate blooms. This morning I cut off
nine branches, Ripped off most of the leaves and snipped off the thorns.
I placed them in a bowl of water colored with soap dye, not food color.
It's been around six hours and nothing. If this doesn't work, I'll try the
violet food dye I have on hand, tomorrow with a new batch. I'll update
this with photos if my little experiment pans out.
I keep asking the BFF, "Are they blue yet?" and he retorted, "No, but my
balls are!". Okay, time to download some Japanese porn for later.
