GOOPY PHONED IT IN THIS WEEK

Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner - 16 oz
Only $28!

This week's Goop is pretty boring.  There's a few good tips, like taking prenatal vitamins to get better hair and nails.  I've already covered it here long ago.  GNC brand is just fine.  Only problem is swallowing some of them.  They're horse pills.  Also, those prenatal vitamins will really wreak havoc on your skin if you're relatively young.  Breakouts galore.

The Goopster goes on and on asking questions to Philip Kingsley and he gives this advice that I would never follow unless I was a teenager playing sports every day after school...

Shampoo and condition the hair DAILY.  However, be sure to choose the correct products for your hair type i.e. Fine and Straight, Fine and Coloured, Medium Wavy, Coarse and Frizzy.  Philip Kingsley’s products brochure... (I deleted the hard sell)

I guess she's been busy promoting Iron Man 2 and hasn't really had time to work on a newsletter.  That's when you write in advance or hire a ghost writer.  Her hair always looks so crappy, so you should really take this newsletter w/a grain of salt.  Nice product placement, though.

Rahua Elixir  $175.00   One freaking ounce!

See that bottle on the right there?

I guess if you have shitty hair from bad genetics, poor nutrition and bleaching it a unicolor blond then by all means, go for it.

I've found that using a wide toothed comb on the scalp when shampooing makes such a difference in hair health.  Remember back when I went through the steps for doing your hair in the shower?

How To Take A Shower

I have to add that smoking lots of weed will make your hair dull.  It collects in your hair.  You can always fake a good shine with this...

Use it on wet or dry hair.  I use it b/drying and after, especially on the ends.  It's $5, people for 1.7 oz. bottle at CVS or Duane Reade.  I discovered silicone hair drops back in the 90's on my bleached up cotton candy hair after a 17 hr. flight from New York to Tokyo.  The Japanese beauty supply stores are surreal.  These days, everyone puts out a serum in their lines.  I've managed a wholesale beauty supply and this L'Oreal stuff is up to snuff in my book.  Save your money and call it a day.
