[My husband] said he'd divorce me if I did anything. When you've had children, your body changes; there's history to it… I'm fortunate to be with somebody who likes the evolution of that history." She also blames Hollywood vanity and materialism for the troubles of many young stars. "If you grow up in an environment where your mother gets you a boob job when you turn 18, what hope is there?" she asks. -

I see this as a dig at Americans and not just Hollywood people.  You are gonna love these quotes from another interview given not that long ago.

The 38-year-old actress - who recently gave birth to her third child with husband Andrew Upton - hates the idea of plastic surgery, and is happy to have some lines on her face.

She said: “For me, I think what will be sexy in 50 years time will be wrinkles. Look at a man or a woman in their 50s and all I see when they have brushed their years away with surgery is self-obsession and fear. That’s not particularly attractive.” -





Hey Cate, you're ugly!  Of course you could never sympathize with someone attractive who wants to hold on to their good looks because you have nothing to lose.

Sorry but she never had any beauty to really hold onto so she would never understand how someone with a pretty face would want to hold onto it. She has nothing to lose and that is a reflection on her cavalier attitude regarding cosmetic procedures.

Ya see, Cate, it is not about wrinkles and aging so much.  We've all known people's grandmothers who were in their 70's or 80's and still were stunners even though they were old and wrinkled. Oh, you'll never get it because you never were or ever will be attractive.  Cate could have that nose reshaped and her droopy eyelids lifted but to no avail.  Never gonna be pretty.  All of her talk about cosmetic procedures and pointing the finger at others reveals her preoccupation with being really pissed off that she was born busted.  She just doesn't see how she gives herself away.
